OPENING HOURS: during these uncertain times our opening hours have changed, and are as follows:
MONDAY to FRIDAY 1500-2300 hrs, SATURDAY 1200-2300 hrs and SUNDAY 1200-1900 Times will vary on a Raceday
You know it makes sense, all our ales scored 20/20 on our last inspection. We have 3 stock ales for you to enjoy, Fullers London Pride, Timothy Tailors Boltmaker, and Harveys Sussex Best. Our fourth pump is regularly rotated with something a little different.

The Old London Apprentice is the closest pub to Newbury racecourse. The pub has always been closely associated with horse racing and the racing community. For many years race goers have enjoyed a hearty breakfast before the meeting and a few pints of well kept ale afterwards. We now consider ourselves to be Newbury's premier racing Pub. Come along and check us out.
Jockeys and trainers can enjoy a well earned celebration after a successful day.
Ken and Caroline have worked hard to return the pub back to a community pub, focusing on bringing back Darts,Pool and a Football team. Racing memorabilia adorn the walls of the pub helping to create a great atmosphere. You can be sure of a warm welcome from Ken, Caroline and staff. Like us on Facebook to follow our story.

Our private room is a great venue for groups to gather and have fun. Family gatherings, sporting groups, stag and hen groups are all very welcome at the Old London Apprentice Pub in Newbury.
